On 8/11/2017 from 8:45pm to 11:00pm and on 8/12/2017 from 2:45pm to 4:45pm there will be detours in place for the Waupun Truck and Show Parades in the city of Waupun. STH 49 will be closed from Gateway Dr. to Fox Lake Rd. STH 26 will be closed from E. Spring St to E. Jefferson St., but will be accessible to local traffic. The STH 49 detour route consists of travelling from the east into the city of Waupun on STH 49 à south on Shaler Dr. à west on E. Lincoln St. à north on Rens Way à north on Fox Lake Rd. STH 26 traffic entering the city of Waupun from the north will be rerouted north onto Frontage Rd à east on STH 26 à south on STH 151 and can use the provided detour to obtain STH 26 southbound and Business STH 151 southbound within the city of Waupun.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
