The full US 7th Circuit Court of Appeals has agreed to hear arguments in the Brendan Dassey case.
Previously, a panel of judges on the court agreed that Dassey’s constitutional rights had been violated and that he had been coerced into confessing to the murder of Theresa Halbach.
Dassey and his uncle, Steven Avery, were both convicted and sentenced to life in prison.
Their cases gained international fame with the Netflix documentary series “Making a Murderer.”
Oral arguments in the case will be presented in September.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
