The North Fond du Lac School superintendent says the district is pushing the re-set button with the high school football program. Superintendent Aaron Sadoff says the decision was made to cancel the varsity program this fall because there were not enough players. Sadoff says only 13 upper classmen turned out this summer. “We’ve been chasing our tail and trying to get successful, but not only have we not made our varsity successful but we’ve taken some really good players off our JV and made them not successful and people didn’t want to be part of something that wasn’t working,” Sadoff told WFDL news. Sadoff says the team has won only one game in the last three years. Sadoff says he is hopeful the varsity program will be restored next fall or the year after. ” I truly believe that if we were winning and we were successful, we would have a heck of a lot more kids out.” The matter was discussed at Monday night’s North Fond du Lac School Board meeting.
