A Beaver Dam man was seriously injured in an accident at a power plant in Waupun. Deputy police chief Jeremy Rasch says the 32 year old man was became pinned between a Bobcat and front end attachment at the state generating plant on South Drummond Street. “Sounds like he was attempting to change out an attachment and that attachment pulled off and pinned him in between both units,” Rasch told WFDL news. The man was transported to Waupun Memorial Hospital and later flown by helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
