Charges have been amended for a Beaver Dam man accused of sexually assaulting a child in Fond du Lac County. At a hearing in Fond du Lac County circuit court, charges against 20 year old Andrew Twardokus were amended to three counts of exposing a child to harmful material. Twardokus was initially charged with using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, second degree sexual assault of a child, and two counts of exposing a child to harmful materials. Twardokus was bound over for trial in April. He is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on $25,000 cash bond.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
