The Fond du Lac Police Department has been notified that Benjamin D. Solheim is being released from prison and back into the community.   Solheim is being released from prison after serving 16 years for 5 counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of 4th Degree Sexual Assault.  Solheim was convicted of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old female acquaintance. 8-18-17 convicted fdl child sex offender relocation notice

  The Fond du Lac Police Department has been notified of a change of address for Jacob Schwendimann.  Schwendimann was released from prison after being convicted on 04-28-10 for failure to provide information to the Sex Offender registry as required by law.  In 2009 Schwendimann was also convicted of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor in Ohio.  The victim was a cooperative teenage female that he met on the internet. OSHKOSH, Wis. 8-18-17 missing tortoise returned

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) — A Russian tortoise that was taken from an Oshkosh zoo a month ago has been returned.  Menominee Park Zoo officials said the tortoise, named Anastasia, was found last week in her pen.  Officials say when Anastasia was first discovered, she was cold and resisted eating, but is now doing better.

Calamus, Wis.
