8-17-17 wisconsin property value

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin property values have reached a new high.  The Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance analyzed taxable property value data that was finalized Tuesday by the state Department of Revenue. The $526 billion in property value is a new peak and the 4.1 percent increase over 2016 is the biggest jump since 2007.  The previous high was $514 billion reached in 2008, just before the Great Recession hit.  Values […]

8-17-17 dodge county fair

The Dodge County Fair is underway.  More than 50,000 people are expected to attend the Fair and its free concert lineup and daily entertainment.  The Oak Ridge Boys will perform  Thursday night, LOCASH on Friday and .38 Special on Saturday.  Concerts begin at 8pm and grandstand admission is free.  The kids pedal tractor pull will take place from 11:30-1:00 on Friday.

8-16-17 juveniles caught throwing hundreds of rocks into waupun pool

Seven juveniles have been cited for vandalizing the Waupun Aquatic Center.  Waupun police chief Scott Louden told WFDL news police responded last week to a report of hundreds of rocks tossed into the  swimming pool on County Park Road.   "There were about 350 (rocks) that were thrown into the pool also damaging the diving board,"  Louden said.  Louden says police were able to identify the vandals after reviewing surveillance […]

8-16-17 documents show wi doc wardens were not truthful with ohio dnr

A review of the records shows that two Wisconsin Department of Corrections employees suspended for poaching walleye on Lake Erie were not truthful when initially questioned by the Ohio DNR.  Documents obtained through an open records request show that Columbia prison warden Mike Dittman and Green Bay Correctional deputy warden Steve Schueler initially lied when they were contacted May 23rd by a DNR warden who was conducting surveillance.  According to […]

8-16-17 former tci staff member accused of having sex with inmate

A former Taycheedah Correctional Institution staff member accused of sexually assaulting an inmate has posted $5000 cash bond.  Forty two year old Joseph Kelm is charged with four counts of second degree sexual assault by correctional staff.  The charges carry a maximum sentence 40 years in prison on each count and a total of $400,000 in fines.  Kelm is accused of having sexual contact with the inmate  in a janitor's closet […]
