A woman described as a Beaver  Dam drug ring leader is going to prison.  Lacreshia “L.A.” Lightfoot was sentenced to 6 years in prison  and 6 years of extended supervisionand placed on probation for five years during a sentencing hearing Wednesday in Dodge County Court.   Lightfoot was  described by prosecutors as  the central figure in a large-scale,  organized, drug distribution ring operating in the City of Beaver Dam.   […]

MADISON, Wis. 8-3-17 walker signs prison guard abuse bill

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker has signed a bipartisan bill that requires guards at Wisconsin's troubled youth prison to report child abuse.  The bill makes guards at the prison in Irma mandatory child abuse reporters. That will protect them from retaliation for reporting incidents. 8-3-17 man tries to elude police by climbing a tree

A Fond du Lac man tried to elude police by climbing a tree.  Police were called this week to a report of a domestic disturbance on East Arndt Street and when officers arrived the suspect fled on foot.  A police K9 found the man hiding in a tree in the 200 block of Amory Street.  The 37 year old man eventually climbed down and was arrested.  Nobody was injured in […]

Waupun Memorial Hospital is sponsoring a free community rummage for local residents. The sale is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.  on Thursday, August 3 in the hospital's Marsh Conference Room.  It will feature gently-used clothing for all ages and sizes, just in time for back to school.  Participants have the opportunity to donate one non-perishable food item for the Waupun Food Pantry.

8-2-17 shooting at dodge county strip club

Two Madison men received non life-threatening injuries following a shooting incident at a Dodge County strip club.  Shortly after 2am Wednesday sheriff’s deputies responded  to a report of shots fired at TNT Gentlemen’s Club on County Highway R.  The Sheriff’s Office says two men, ages 27 and 23 were victims of the shooting.   They were transported to UW Hospital for treatment.  Sheriff Dale Schmidt says there are no suspects […]
