8-24-17 fdl county offices closed on labor day

In accordance with Fond du Lac County’s holiday schedule, all county offices in the City/County Government Center, the Sheriff’s Office lobby window, the Portland Street Annex including the Veteran Services Office, the Department of Social Services and the Highway Department will be closed on Monday, September 4, 2017, in observance of Labor Day.

8-23-17 major fish kill in rock river in waupun

The DNR is investigating a major fish kill in the Rock River at Waupun.  Waupun Deputy police chief Jeremy Rasch says hundreds of dead fish were found in the river near the Mill Pond.  Rasch says a DNR biologist believes some type of chemical from run-off following heavy rain last week  impacted oxygen levels in the river.  Rasch says hundreds of fish including bass, carp and crappie were found floating in […]

Fond du Lac police conducted a high risk stop on a vehicle that was believed to have been stolen in Milwaukee.  Police stopped the vehicle Sunday night after it pulled into the Mobil gas station on Fond du Lac Avenue.   Five occupants were ordered out of the vehicle at gunpoint.  Police say it turns out the license plate was stolen and placed on a different car, but the driver had […]
