The first human cases of West Nile virus for 2017 have been reported in Wisconsin.    The cases were reported in Fond du Lac and Oconto counties.  Fond du Lac County Public Health officer Kim Mueller says the state is not releasing any specific information about the  infected person or where that person lives.  Mueller says the chances of a person contracting West Nile virus are very low and most people […]

A convicted child sex offender is getting out of prison Tuesday and will be living in Fond du Lac.  Assistant police chief Steve Klein says Benjamin Solheim is being released from prison after serving 16 years for possession of child pornography and sexually assaulting a child.  Solheim is on extended supervision for the next five years.  Klein says Solheim will be living at a residence at 457 Thomas Street. A Fond du Lac man is charged with sexually assaulting a child.  David Santiago Juarez is charged with two counts of first degree sexual assault of a child.  Assistant police chief Steve Klein says Santiago Juarez is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl under the age of 12.  Santiago Juarez is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on $50,000 cash bond.
