Authorities have released the name of the victim of a fatal motorcycle versus pick-up crash in Dodge County Friday. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says 35 year old Derek Lemkuil of Beaver Dam was killed when his motorcycle collided with a pick-up at the intersection of Sunny Point Road and County Highway G. Lemkuil was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pick-up, 57 year old John Gerbensky from rural Beaver Dam was not injured. The crash remains under investigation.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
