A motorcycle crash in Dodge County has critically injured the operator. The crash happened Saturday morning at the intersection of Highway G and County Highway FW. A preliminary investigation shows that the operator of a Harley Davidson failed to stop for the stop sign, traveled through the intersection and into the north ditch. The motorcycle vaulted, the driver was ejected, and the motorcycle struck a parked vehicle. The male motorcycle operator sustained life threatening injuries and was flown from the scene by Flight for Life helicopter to UW Hospital in Madison. The crash remains under investigation by the Dodge County Crash Investigation Team.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
