A landmark Fond du lac restaurant is cutting back its hours of operation…citing a labor shortage as the reason. Starting this month, Schreiner’s Restaurant will continue serving breakfast and lunch every day, but will be open for dinner only on Thursdays and Fridays. “As everyone knows there is a labor shortage. Effective September first the restaurant is adjusting its hours to continue providing famous home-style cooking during the times of highest demand,” according to the Schreiner’s website. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Schreiner’s is open from 6:30am to 2pm. Thursday and Friday the restaurant will be open until 7:30pm. Saturdays and Sundays the restaurant is open until 4pm. Schreiner’s was founded in 1938. Schreiner’s employs 29 people who have worked at the restaurant for 20 years and four who have worked there over 40 years.
