A Fond du Lac teenager was flown by helicopter to the hospital with what appeared to be non life-threatening injuries after he was struck by a car while riding his bicycle. The accident happened Saturday evening on East Johnson Street near Yang’s kitchen buffet. Police say the 16 year old boy and some friends were doing tricks on their bikes when the boy was hit by a car. He was flown by helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
