A Campbellsport man faces charges following two alcohol-related crashes within minutes of each other. The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says shortly before 9pm Sunday a vehicle blew a stop sign on Campbellsport Drive and crashed into Campbellsport Laundry. The vehicle left the scene and later crashed again on County Highway V and Haven Drive. The driver fled on foot and was apprehended a short time later. He was not injured.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
