A former Fond du Lac school board member has been killed and her husband, a Fond du Lac attorney, was critically injured in a rollover crash in Montana. Seventy three year old Mimi Sager died Monday afternoon following the crash on Interstate 94 in Montana. Her husband, 73 year old Steve Sager, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. According to the Montana Highway Patrol Mimi Sager was driving when the car struck a guardrail in the eastbound lane of Interstate 94 near Fallon in Prairie County. Sager was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the car when it rolled over, and was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Steve Sager was a passenger and was taken to Glendive Medical Center. The Highway Patrol says no other vehicles were involved in the crash, which was reported at 1:15 p.m Monday.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
