The Fond du Lac Salvation Army is teaming up with Fives Giddings and Lewis to collect items for hurricane disaster relief. Salvation Army’s Ron Jacobson says starting Thursday September 21st through Sunday September 24th, residents can donate items at the G and L parking lot at the corner of Macy and Johnson Streets from 6am to 7pm Thursday and Friday and 8am to 4pm Saturday and Sunday. Jacobson says the semi will be trucked to Indiana where the items will be sorted and delivered to disaster sites by Midwest Food Bank. Jacobson says community donations and volunteer help is needed. Items needed include non perishable food, baby supplies, and personal hygiene products.
