A Fond du Lac book store is donating hundreds of dollars worth of books to the Fond du Lac School District. Books-A-Million Book Store in the Forest Mall conducted a book drive over the summer and collected over six large boxes of books valued at $720 that were recently donated to the Fond du Lac School District. The books covered a wide variety of genres and reading levels and will now be sent to several of the District’s media centers.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
