A Fond du Lac High School student faces expulsion after making a threat targeting the homecoming football game last Friday night. Assistant police chief Steve Klein says police were made aware of the threat after other people saw the post and reported it. “I give credit to the individuals that saw the post and took them seriously and reached out to law enforcement,” Klein told WFDL news. Klein says police quickly learned the threat was not credible and that the child who made the threat was not at the game.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
