Campbellsport residents are going to have to dig deeper in their pockets to  pay for water.  The state Public Service Commission this week authorized a 22 percent water rate increase effective September 22nd.  Public Works director Mark Gruber says an average residential customer will see their water bill increase $25 a quarter from $115 to $140.  Gruber says the increase will allow the Campbellsport Water Utility to begin repaying $1 […]

9-8-17 restaurant cooking oil theft

Fond du Lac police are looking for thieves who stole 300 gallons of used cooking oil from the KFC restaurant on North Pioneer Road.   The overnight theft was discovered earlier this week by employees who called police.  Police say there has been an increase in thefts involving used cooking oil from restaurants to be sold on the black market for bio fuels as an alternative fuel for vehicles.

9-8-17 campbellsport man faces charges following alcohol related crashes

A Campbellsport man faces multiple charges following two alcohol-related crashes over the Labor Day holiday.  Sheriff’s captain Ryan Waldschmidt says Laquon Spikes crashed his vehicle into a Campbellsport Laundromat, drove away and crashed again on Highway V and Haven Drive. 9-8-17 roadside rest stop attack-the latest

The attack of a trucker at a rest stop along Interstate 41 in Dodge County raises questions about safety at the waysides.  The trucker was seriously injured in the attack and robbed by what he described as two black males.  Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says it appears the attack was random and the suspects may have been waiting at the wayside to rob a motorist who happened to stop.
