MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Newly released records show Attorney General Brad Schimel has spent about $83,000 on promotional items during his term, including bags, pistol cases and candy. Invoices  obtained through an open records request show Schimel spent $6,269 on messenger bags, another $6,000 on pistol cases in 2015 and nearly $3,200 on candy. 9-7-17 man convicted in 1992 paper mill vat death released

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — One of the five men serving a life prison term for killing a co-worker at a Green Bay paper mill in 1992 has been paroled because of his declining mental health.  Seventy-six-year-old Dale Basten was most recently at the Dodge Correctional Institution.  Basten was released from prison Tuesday and transferred to an assisted living facility in the Fox Valley where he will be electronically monitored. 9-6-17 fdl judge calling for metal detectors at fdl city-county government center

9-6-17 pennsylvania man seriously injured in dodge county rest stop attack

A trucker was seriously injured when he was attacked at a rest stop along southbound Interstate 41 in Dodge County.  Sheriff Dale Schmidt says two black males jumped over a bathroom stall and assaulted a truck driver.   The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of money from the victim.  The truck driver, a 55 year old man from Titusville, PA,  received serious injuries as a result of the assault and […]
