Continued work on upgrading the Macy Street parking ramp tops the list of projects in a proposed Fond du Lac Community Development Department budget.  Community Development Director Dyann Benson updated the city council last month on the proposed 2018 budget.  Benson says funding for the parking ramp project is being spread out over several years.

The Waupun Fire Department, in partnership with the Wisconsin Propane Education & Research Council (WiPERC), is hosting an emergency response, live propane fire training on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 6:00 PM.   Fire fighters from Waupun and the surrounding area are expected to attend.   At times during the training, area residents may see flames shooting 20 feet or more into the air.   The training consists of classroom instruction on […]

9-5-17 robbery at i-41 rest stop in dodge county

A trucker was seriously injured when he was attacked at a rest stop along southbound Interstate 41 in Dodge County.  Sheriff Dale Schmidt says two black males jumped over a bathroom stall and assaulted a truck driver.   The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of money from the victim.  The truck driver, a 55 year old man from Titusville, PA,  received serious injuries as a result of the assault and […]

9-5-17 fire destroys fdl garage
