9-4-17 nfdl man sentenced to prison in child abuse case

A North Fond du Lac man convicted of child abuse for severely injuring a toddler has received a long prison sentence.  At a hearing Friday Fond du Lac judge Gary Sharpe sentenced Jason Schifelbine to 15 years in prison followed by ten years of extended supervision.   Schifelbine was found guilty of  Physical Abuse Of A Child: Intentionally Causing Great Bodily Harm.  In August of 2014 an unconscious 13 month old […]

9-4-17 motorcycle operator critically injured in dodge county crash

A motorcycle crash in Dodge County has critically injured the operator.  The crash happened Saturday morning at the intersection of Highway G and County Highway FW.  A preliminary investigation shows that the operator of a Harley Davidson failed to stop for the stop sign,  traveled through the intersection and into the north ditch.  The motorcycle vaulted, the driver was ejected,  and the motorcycle struck a parked vehicle.  The male motorcycle […]

9-4-17 authorities release name of victim in fatal motorcycle vs. pickup crash in dodge county

Authorities have released the name of the victim of a fatal motorcycle versus pick-up crash in Dodge County Friday.  The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says 35 year old Derek Lemkuil of Beaver Dam was killed when his motorcycle collided with a pick-up at the intersection of Sunny Point Road and County Highway G.   Lemkuil was pronounced dead at the scene.  The driver of the pick-up, 57 year old John Gerbensky […]

9-2-17 hurricane harvey donations

Area residents are being asked to donate items to send to Hurricane Harvey flood victims.   The Fond du Lac American Legion Post is teaming up with Project Linus to collect  relief supplies including non perishable food items, cleaning supplies, first aid kits, personal care products and  new socks and underwear.    Items can be dropped off at the American Legion Post 75 at 500 Fond du Lac Avenue.
