9-27-17 homecoming threat-student faces expulsion

9-27-17 wolf population

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Wildlife managers say Minnesota's wolf population appears to have grown by 25 percent.  The Department of Natural Resources on Monday released its 2016-2017 population survey. It estimates that Minnesota had about 500 packs and 2,856 wolves at midwinter. 9-27-17 walmart-disabled employee dispute

BELOIT, Wis. (AP) — The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is accusing Walmart of failing to accommodate a longtime employee at a Wisconsin store because of his disability. The agency alleges Walmart suspended and failed to accommodate a deaf employee with visual impairment at a Beloit store. 9-26-17 fdl woman dies in apparent accidental drowning

A Fond du Lac woman has died in an apparent accidental drowning.  The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says 58 year old Tammy Eichhorn drowned in a residential swimming pool on Briar Court in the town of Byron.   Rescue personnel were called to the scene about 4:30pm Monday for a report of an unresponsive female in the pool.  Resuscitation efforts by paramedics were unsuccessful.

9-26-17 expanded waupun memorial hospital officially opens tuesday

The doors officially open Tuesday following a major expansion at Waupun Memorial Hospital.  Hospital chief operating officer DeAnn Thurmer says  the $23 million,  two story, nearly 53,000 square foot addition will house medical-surgical patient rooms, intensive care, labor-delivery and postpartum rooms.   An open house was held Sunday.
