9-25-17 one person seriously injured in two vehicle crash in dodge county

Two people were injured in a two vehicle crash in Dodge County.  The crash happened Saturday afternoon at the intersection of County Highway  TW and STH 33.   The initial investigation shows a northbound passenger car entered the intersection and collided with a westbound pickup truck. The driver of the northbound car was flown by helicopter to the hospital with serious but non life-threatening injuries.  The pickup driver received minor injuries.

9-25-17 fdl county board to consider economic incentive package for two business expansions

The Fond du Lac County Board is holding a special meeting to consider  an economic incentives package to help two Fond du Lac businesses expand.   The board will consider providing up to a $4 million loan to Mid-States Aluminum and up to a $1 million loan for C.D. Smith Construction. The special meeting is scheduled for 6pm Tuesday at the City-County government center.

9-23-17 wi elections targeted by russian hackers

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The U.S. Department of Homeland Security says Wisconsin's voter registration system was unsuccessfully targeted by Russian hackers.  Wisconsin was one of 21 states notified Friday of the attempted hacking. Wisconsin Elections Commission administrator Michael Haas says the attempted hack had no effect on Wisconsin's systems or the outcome of the election.  Haas says security provided by the state successfully protected Wisconsin's systems. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Democratic state Sen. 9-23-17 fdl man sentenced in animal abuse case

A Fond du Lac book store is donating hundreds of dollars worth of books to the Fond du Lac School District.  Books-A-Million Book Store in the Forest Mall conducted a book drive over the summer and collected over six large boxes of books valued at $720 that were recently donated to the Fond du Lac School District. The Fond du Lac United Way is teaming up with the Dodge County United Way to help feed the hungry.  Fond du Lac Area United Way director Amber Kilawee says volunteers will be packaging 50,000 meals for food pantries in Fond du Lac and Dodge counties.  Kilawee says the event runs from 9am to 12:30am Saturday at the Union Youth Center in Waupun.
