9-22-17 car hits house in fdl

The driver of a car that hit a house in Fond du Lac this morning is being evaluated by paramedics.   Airbags deployed when the car hit a house in the 100 block of East Second Street shortly after 8am Friday.  There was no structural damage to the house.

9-22-17 flooded streets and basements in fdl

More than three inches of rain caused mostly minor flooding in parts of the city of  Fond du Lac and Fond du Lac County Wednesday night.   Some residents reported water in the basement and flooded streets and back yards.  Several county roads received flooding rainfall and the Highway Department says high water was reported under the Hickory Street Bridge along Interstate 41.

9-22-17 hurricane relief effort

The Fond du Lac Salvation Army captain says there has been a steady stream of residents dropping off relief items for hurricane victims.  The Salvation Army is collecting items through Sunday at the Giddings and Lewis parking lot at the corner of Macy and Johnson Streets. 9-22-17 fdl school listed in national register of historic places

The Wisconsin Historical Society has announced the listing of St. Joseph’s School in the city of Fond du Lac in the National Register of Historic Places.  Jim Draeger with the Wisconsin Historical Society says the building was constructed in 1928.  "St. Joseph's school tells the story of the development of education in Fond du Lac in the early 20th century,"  Draeger told WFDL news.  The building is being converted into […]
