An elderly Dodge County woman killed in a crash near Beaver Dam on Friday has been identified. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says 90 year old, Iva M. Schwoch, of Burnett, was killed when her car collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Dodge County Highways A and B. traveling west on Dodge County B. The driver of the second vehicle, 43 year old Sean R. Mertz, of Watertown was not injured in the crash.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
