A Fond du Lac man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in a restaurant parking lot earlier this month. Police detectives executed a search warrant at the suspect’s Berger Parkway apartment Tuesday afternoon and took a 29 year old man into custody. He faces charges of armed robbery and obstructing an officer. The man is accused of robbing a woman in the Friar Tuck’s restaurant parking lot on October 5th. The victim told officers she was getting out of her vehicle when she was approached by a male subject wearing some type of mask and holding what appeared to be a rifle. The suspect demanded her phone which he took and then fled on foot. No one was injured during the incident.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
