WFDL news has learned the embattled Lincoln Hills youth prison has a new interim superintendent. At the direction of Governor Scott Walker, State Corrections Secretary Jon Litscher has appointed John Paquin to the post. Paquin is the Wisconsin Department of Juvenile Corrections Administrator. “I will be spending more time on site until the new superintendent is hired and oriented. I encourage all staff to reach out to CLS/LHS management and to me with any concerns and suggestions they have, so that we can continue to move forward as a team,” Paquin said in the memo to staff obtained by WFDL news. He replaces Wendy Peterson who stepped down in August. In the memo Paquin says the search for a permanent replacement is underway with an application deadline of November 12. “I join the Governor and Secretary Litscher in recognizing the difficult work you do and thanking you for your hard work and dedication. Thank you,” Paquin said.
