10-14-17 fatal car crash-dodge county

One person was killed in a two vehicle crash in Dodge County.  The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says two cars collided at the intersection of Highways A and B in the town of Beaver Dam Friday killing one of the drivers.  The second driver was not jnjured.

10-14-17 captured: escaped dodge county jail inmate

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office says an escaped jail inmate has been taken into custody.  Dodge County Sheriff Dale Schmidt says 30 year old  Dylan Farber,  of Fox Lake  was arrested by Wauwatosa police Friday  afternoon.  Farber escaped from the jail at approximately early Friday morning and stole a GM Suburban  in Juneau.  He was arrested Friday afternoon in Wauwatosa.   Schmidt says Farber was being held  jail following a high […]

10-13-17 fdl man gets new heart

More than a year after being placed on a waiting list Fond du Lac resident Rick Gilgenbach has received his new heart.  Gilgenbach got the call this week and underwent successful heart transplant surgery Wednesday night at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.   Gilgenbach’s brother Scott told WFDL news there was some bleeding after surgery that doctors fixed Thursday, but said the oxygen tube was expected to be removed Thursday […]

10-13-17 fdl heroin dealer going to prison

A Fond du Lac man convicted of dealing heroin is going to prison.  Fond du Lac Judge, Peter  Grimm, sentenced Shakie Davis to eight years in prison followed by ten years of extended supervision.  Davis told investigators that he estimated that he sold about $4,000 to $5,000 dollars’ worth of heroin per week between April and May of this year.
