10-10-17 trafffic court bill signed by governor

Governor Walker has signed a bill authored by a Fond du Lac lawmaker that makes changes to traffic court.  State representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt says the bill eliminates the requirement for judges to verbally inform the defendant of their option to delay the trial to a later date.   Thiesfeldt says the verbal mandate has tripped up judges on occasion because they are hearing so many cases a day.   The bill also […]

10-10-17 horicon woman wins badger 5 jackpot

A Horicon woman is the lucky winner of the $49,000 jackpot from the Thursday,  October 5 Badger 5 drawing.   Faye Rogers purchased her ticket at a Kwik Trip in Horicon.  Rogers's ticket matched the winning numbers of 3, 4, 13, 15 and 25.

10-10-17 police identify man found dead in waupun residence

Authorities have identified  a 28 year old man found dead in a Waupun residence last week.    Police chief Scott Louden says the victim has been identified as Logan Peckham.  Police were called last Wednesday  to a residence in the 100 block of Fond du Lac Street after the person who lived at the home found his friend pulseless and not breathing.  Louden says the death could be a drug overdose, […]

10-9-17 national weather service confirms weak tornado touches down in madison

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — An unusual October tornado has downed power lines and destroyed garages on Madison's east side, but no injuries are reported. The National Weather Service confirms that a weak tornado swept northeast along East Washington Avenue to Interstate 39/90 Saturday evening.
