10-7-17 fire destroys town of eldorado home

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a town of Eldorado home.  Firefighters were called to the Duane and Eveline Spano home  on Moon Road Friday afternoon.   The fire was reported by a neighbor and appears to have started from an extension cord in the living room of the residence.  The fire is not considered to be suspicious. 10-6-17 watertown man convicted in heroin overdose death of dodge county woman

A Watertown man has been convicted in the heroin overdose death of a Dodge County woman.  Fifty year old Terance Jannke, was convicted of reckless homicide in the overdose death of Holly Nehls.  He was accused of giving the heroin to Nehl’s boyfriend, Gabriel Brandl, who injected Nehls with the drug causing her death.  Police say Brandl drove his car with Nehls in the front seat for several hours before […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Democrats have introduced a bill banning bump stocks, devices that convert semi-automatic rifles into fully automatic weapons.  Authorities say Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock had such devices with him. 10-6-17 arrest warrant issued for defendant in ripon robbery case

An arrest warrant has been issued after a Menasha man  charged in connection with an armed robbery in Ripon failed to appear in court last week.  Eighteen year old Tristan Van Eperen is charged with party to the crime of armed robbery and   receiving stolen property.  According to the criminal complaint on July 22  Van Eperen and another man robbed a Ripon man at gunpoint using a stolen CO2 pistol.  […]

10-6-17 fdl man convicted in robbery

A Fond du Lac man has been convicted of robbing a Fond du Lac business.   David Haefner pleaded no contest to  theft as a repeater.  Charges of robbery, theft from a financial institution and bail jumping were dismissed and read into the record.   A pre-sentence investigation was ordered and a sentencing hearing is scheduled for  December 4th.   Police Chief Bill Lamb says Haefner robbed Heights Finance on Rickmeyer Drive.  Lamb […]

10-6-17 girl in slenderman attack wrote letter to victim

WAUKESHA, Wis.
