The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office confiscated a large amount of marijuana and took two teenagers into custody following a recent drug bust. The Sheriff’s Office says on Friday Deputy Justin Weisbecker and his K9 partner Koda conducted a traffic stop on Seven Hills Road near CTH H in the town of Empire. During the stop, the deputy located four one gallon Ziploc bags full of marijuana, totaling just over two pounds in weight. The two occupants of the vehicle, 17-year-old Dakota Mueller and 18-year-old Spencer Owens, both of Fond du Lac, were arrested and transported to the Fond du Lac County Jail. Owens and Mueller were charged yesterday in circuit court with Possession With Intent to Deliver Marijuana, and have since been released on bond.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
