A former supervisor at the Wisconsin youth prisons, who investigators found was unjustified in an attack on an inmate, has been hired at the Dodge Correctional Institution. A memo from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, obtained by WFDL news, says Lana Webster has been promoted to a Supervising Officer at Dodge Correctional effective November 12. The memo says Webster brings a unique set of skills with a lengthy career working with youth in a variety of environments, but does not mention her time at the Lincoln Hills and Copper Lake Schools. Records show Webster received no discipline after investigators found she participated in the humiliation of inmates and was unjustified in blasting a female inmate at Copper Lake in the face with pepper spray. Webster falsely claimed the inmate attacked her. Department of Corrections officials determined that Webster needed additional training but no punishment.
