(AP) — The University of Wisconsin-Madison received reports of more than 70 incidents where someone felt attacked because of their race, religion or gender last spring.  UW-Madison tracks reports of so-called "bias incidents" each semester. MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin Democratic Sen. Tammy Baldwin says she is donating $20,000 her campaign received from Minnesota Sen. Al Franken's political action committee to a group benefiting women veterans in the state.  Baldwin Thursday joined with other Democrats in distancing themselves from Franken amid allegations that he forcibly kissed a woman in 2006. Beaver Dam Community Hospital will be holding a blood drive for the Blood Center of Wisconsin on Friday, Dec. 1 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in BDCH’s first-floor conference rooms. 11-16-17 ledgers win another state football championship

Saint Mary’s Springs Academy of Fond du Lac has won another state football championship.  The Ledgers rolled over Iola-Scandinavia 35-12 today at Camp Randall stadium in Madison to cap off an undefeated season and capture the Division 6 state title.

11-16-17 two injured in semi vs suv crash in calumet county

11-16-17 members of st. marys springs football team involved in disorderly conduct incident at pizza ranch

On  the eve of the state championship game the Saint Mary’s Springs football  team is in  the news for the wrong reasons.    Fond du Lac Police were called to the Pizza Ranch restaurant last night for a disorderly conduct complaint.  The manager told police three football players were caught stealing buffet dinners.  The manager told officers the players were confronted and they did eventually pay.  She said team members come […]

11-16-17 impaired waterways

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has named 240 new waterways as impaired, which means they need plans for reducing pollution.  The DNR said of those, 183 of them are lakes or river stretches that exceed more restrictive phosphorous standards that took effect in December 2010.  More than a dozen Fond du Lac County impaired waterways are listed as high priority including the Fond du lac River and Lake Winnebago.  […]
