11-10-17 rollover crash slows traffic on i-41

Trafffic was backed up on northbound Intertsate 41 this morning following a one vehicle rollover.  Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s captain Ryan Waldschmidt says the crash happened shortly before 9:30am.  Waldschmidt says a pick-up towing a camper-trailer rolled over into the I-41 median near county highway N north of Fond du Lac.  Waldschmidt says the driver of the pick-up received minor injuries in the crash.

Saputo Cheese in Fond du Lac is closing next spring in an effort to improve efficiency.  The Montreal based company says its cheese manufacturing facility on East Scott Street in Fond du Lac will close next May leaving 126 people out of work.  The company says employees will receive severance and some will be offered a chance to work at other Saputo facilities. 11-10-17 regents approve uw system merger plan

The University of Wisconsin System regents have approved a plan to merge the system's two-year schools with its four-year campuses.   The plan calls for transforming the system's 13 two-year schools into regional branches of seven of the 13 four-year schools. 11-10-17 fdl man accused of setting fire to oshkosh home

A 19-year-old Fond du Lac man is accused of setting a house on fire in Oshkosh.  Police have referred charges of arson,  recklessly endangering safety, negligent handling of burning materials and other domestic-related charges to the Winnebago County District Attorney.  Nobody was injured in the fire Sunday at a residence on Jackson Street.
