11-20-17 csa signs agreement to sell agnesian healthcare to ssm health

The Congregation of the Sisters of St. Agnes has officially signed an agreement to sell Fond du lac’s Agnesian Healthcare to SSM Health.    Back in July the CSA and SSM Health signed a letter of intent to sell Agnesian and Monroe Clinic to SSM Health.  The deal is expected to be completed by the end of the year pending regulatory approval.  SSM Health is based in St. Louis with health […]

Wisconsin's nine-day gun deer season could look a lot different this year.  The season began Saturday  and runs through Nov. 26.  The biggest potential wrinkle could be a bill Gov. Scott Walker signed eliminating the minimum hunting age. 11-20-17 missing pet pit bull found running along i-41

Fond du Lac County sheriff's deputies rescued a pet dog running loose along Interstate 41 Friday morning.  A deputy spotted the Pit Bull and took him to the Fond du Lac Animal Shelter. Shelter manager Renee Webb says the shelter was able to contact the owner because of a microchip on the dog.

11-20-17 company disputes fine in wisconsin explosion

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin milling company is disputing federal labor officials' decision to levy a $1.8 million fine in connection with a fatal plant explosion.  The Didion Milling Co. plant in Cambria exploded on May 31. Five workers died. 11-19-17 mptc military shoebox drive

Thanks to generous donations from students, staff and community members, Moraine Park Technical College’s “Christmas in a Shoebox” donation drive exceeded its 2017 goal and set a new record. The donated items will be shipped  to area military members this holiday season. Organizers  had a goal of 100 boxes. This year’s event ended up 175 boxes– up from last year’s record total of 150.
