A Fond du Lac man charged in connection with a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian crash in Fond du Lac has been bound over for trial. Probable cause was found at a preliminary hearing for 51 year old Peter Anderson. Anderson is charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and operating without a valid driver’s license. Police say Anderson was the driver of a pick up that struck and killed 54 year old Jeffrey Koenigs on South Park Avenue near 2nd Street last month. Anderson is free after posting bond.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
