A Fond du lac man was seriously injured when his pick up collided with a semi-tractor trailer in Dodge County. The crash happened shortly after 7pm Saturday at the intersection of Highways 175 and 28 a mile north of the Village of Theresa. The driver of the semi, a 48 year old rural Theresa man, was treated and released from a local hospital for minor injuries. The driver of the pickup, a 56 year old Fond du Lac man, was flown from the scene to a trauma center with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
