A Fond du lac woman apparently suffered a medical condition before her car plunged into Lake Winnebago last week. Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue was called to an area off Frazier Point Friday afternoon. Division Chief of Fire Prevention Troy Haase says even through the water was shallow the woman was not able to get out of the vehicle on her own and was starting to show signs of hypothermia. “The water was really cold. She was unable to get out by herself,” Haase told WFDL news. “It wasn’t like she was in ten feet of water and couldn’t swim but she was unable to get out and was already starting to get kind of “out of it” a little bit because of the cold water.”
