The Wisconsin Alumni Association is inviting fans to join the Official Badger Bowl Tour to cheer on the Badgers at the Orange Bowl. Alumni Association’s Jeff Wendorf says a limited number of travel packages are still available. Wendorf says travel packages include airfare, hotel and the Badger Huddle tailgate party before the game. The Badgers play Miami in the Orange Bowl December 30. This is the first ever trip to the Orange Bowl for Wisconsin. For more information on travel packages log on to uwbowlcentral.com.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
