Fond du Lac police are looking for the person or persons responsible for vandalizing Christmas lights in the city. Police say at least five reports of vandalized Christmas lights have been reported in the last couple of weeks. The first report came in November 25 at Lakeside Park. Police say damaged Christmas lights have also been reported in the 700 block ogf East Division and at Marian University. On Friday morning lights were reported vandalized in the 300 block of Garfield Street.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
