12-21-17 commonwealth companires relocating its headquarters in fdl

Commonwealth Companies has announced they are moving their corporate offices to a new location in Fond du Lac.  Commonwealth is relocating  its offices to 42 South Brooke Street, adjacent to the Garten Factory landscape and garden center.  A grand opening is planned for next summer.  The announcement comes after Commonwealth sold its building at Sheboygan and South Main Streets to Envision Fond du lac.   Envision and the Fond du Lac Area Convention and Visitors Bureau will be moving into that building next spring.   Commonwealth says the move is due to continued growth into  new markets with active projects in several  states.  Louie Lange III, President of Commonwealth Companies says the expansion is driven by development offices in six different states.   “As they continue to grow their success, we need more support personnel back in Fond du Lac and the space to house them.  When we became aware of Envision’s needs and desire to be in the downtown we offered up our space for consideration and ended up with a great opportunity for both parties and the community,”  Lange said.   “We are very excited about our new office with the added space.  It give us the opportunity to offer more amenities to attract and maintain the very best talent in the area while we continue to serve the people and communities we have become a part of while continuing to support the City’s redevelopment efforts of the Brooke Street area .”
