MADISON, Wis. 12-11-17 serious injury crash in fdl county

12-11-17 fdl salvation army donation plea

The Fond du Lac Salvation Army is making a public plea for donations.  The Red Kettle campaign is  at 41%  of the  $160,000 goal  with two weeks  left in the campaign.  MidStates Aluminum is challenging the community to match their  $2500 donation before  December 15.  The Salvation Army says eight of the 17 large Salvation Army Red Kettles have been empty at the end of the collection day.

12-11-17 fdl police investigating christmas decoration vandalism incidents

Fond du Lac police are looking for the person or persons responsible for vandalizing Christmas lights in the city.  Police say at least five reports of vandalized Christmas lights have been reported in the last couple of weeks.    The first report came in November 25 at Lakeside Park.    Police say damaged Christmas lights have also been reported in the 700 block ogf East Division and at Marian University.  On Friday […]

12-9-17 pregnant bank robber

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Madison woman accused of robbing three banks while she was more than eight months pregnant pleaded guilty to robbing two of them and was sentenced to four years in prison.  Thirty two-year-old Lisa Harding was also ordered to pay back money taken during a third bank robbery, even though that charge was dismissed under a plea agreement.  The robberies happened in December 2016. 12-9-17 watertown man thanks fdl paramedics for saving his life

Watertown resident Jeff  Lorenz  says he wouldn’t be alive today if it wasn’t for  a co-worker and Fond du Lac paramedics.   Last  August  paramedics responded to a construction site in Fond du Lac for a report of a person experiencing chest pains.    Co-worker  Scott Buehlman  found  Lorenz  pulseless and non-breathing and immediately started CPR and continued until paramedics arrived and took over.   Lorenz  was transported to the hospital where […]
