WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) — Parole has not been granted to a former dairy princess convicted of killing her ex-boyfriend's fiancee 27 years ago in a case featured in a made-for-TV movie. 12-6-17 former ripon high school teacher charged with sexual assault of student

A former Ripon High School teacher is accused of having sex with a student.  Samantha Fitzpatrick made her initial Fond du Lac court appearance Wednesday on charges of  child enticement, sexual assault of a student by school staff, exposing a child to harmful material and obstructing an officer.   Bail was set at $1000 cash.   A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 5.   Fitzpatrick is accused of sending sexually explicit text messages […]

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Michael Heifetz is resigning as Wisconsin Medicaid director after 14 months on the job to work in the private sector.  The state Department of Health Services announced Heifetz's resignation on Tuesday. His last day will be Dec. 13.  Heifetz previously worked as state budget director for three years under Gov. 12-6-17 fdl county sheriff’s office: weekend crashes were preventable

A Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s captain says all three serious injury crashes in Fond du Lac County this past weekend were preventable.  Sheriff’s captain Ryan Waldschmidt says six people were injured, four seriously,  in two head on collisions Saturday and a car versus tree crash Sunday night.  Waldsdchmidt says two of the crashes involved alcohol and the driver fell asleep at the wheel  in the other crash.
