Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed a vehicle and damaged a garage and two neighboring houses in Fond du Lac. Shortly after 6pm Saturday firefighters were called to 438 4th Street and found the vehicle fully involved. A Fond du Lac woman is going to prison for dealing heroin. At a hearing Friday in Fond du Lac County Circuit court Jodi Wegener was sentenced to seven years in prison followed by six years of extended supervision. Wegener was one of 11 people arrested in Fond du Lac earlier this year for buying and selling heroin.
A Fond du Lac woman was rescued after her vehicle ended up in Lake Winnebago. Shortly before 2pm Friday Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue were called to Frazier Drive for a vehicle in the water. Firefighters found a sports utility vehicle in Lake Winnebago a short distance off the shore. A woman in the vehicle was rescued, treated, and transported to St. Agnes Hospital.
