12-4-17 fire destroys vehicle, damages garage and two homes in fdl

Nobody was injured in a fire that destroyed  a vehicle and damaged a garage and two neighboring houses in Fond du Lac.   Shortly after 6pm Saturday firefighters were called to 438 4th Street  and found the vehicle fully involved.    The fire and heat spread to the residence and garage and the heat also melted the siding on a neighbor’s home.  Fire crews were able to extinguish fire and prevent […]

12-1-17 fdl woman going to prison for selling heroin

A Fond du Lac woman is going to prison for dealing heroin.  At a hearing Friday in Fond du Lac County Circuit court Jodi Wegener was sentenced to seven years in prison followed by six years of extended supervision.   Wegener was one of 11 people arrested in Fond du Lac earlier this year for buying and selling heroin.

12-1-17 woman rescued after vehicle goes into lake winnebago

A Fond du Lac woman was rescued after her vehicle ended up in Lake Winnebago.  Shortly before 2pm Friday Fond du Lac Fire and Rescue were called to Frazier Drive for a vehicle in the water. Firefighters found a sports utility vehicle in Lake Winnebago a short distance off the shore.   A woman  in the vehicle was rescued, treated, and transported to St. Agnes Hospital.

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Republican Sen. Ron Johnson says he has cut a deal with Senate leadership and is prepared to cast the deciding 50th vote to pass the GOP tax overhaul bill.  Johnson said Friday that he secured changes in the bill on taxes paid by pass-through businesses that helped win his support. 12-1-17 fdl man bound over for trial in fatal pick-up vs pedestrian crash

A Fond du Lac man charged in connection with a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian crash in Fond du Lac has been bound over for trial.   Probable cause was found at a preliminary hearing  for 51 year old Peter Anderson.  Anderson  is charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and operating without a valid driver’s license.   Police say Anderson was the driver of a pick up that struck and […]
