12-19-17 lakeside park holiday light donation boxes vandalized

Fond du Lac police are investigating the vandalism of donation boxes at Lakeside Park.  Police say the boxes at Park Avenue and Harborview Drive and Lighthouse Drive were damaged and any money inside was stolen.  Any money donated go toward purchasing new holiday lights and repairing current lights.  Police say the boxes will be repaired and enhanced in an effort to prevent future break-ins.

12-19-17 flu cases on the rise

The Fond du Lac County Public Health Officer says more flu cases have been reported locally so far this year compared to last.  Mueller says four positive influenza cases were reported in October compared to one last year.  Six positive cases were reported through December 9, compared to five for the entire month last year.  Mueller says its still not too late to get a flu shot.  She says  there […]

12-19-17 crash reductions-dodge county

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office continues to ramp up patrols over the holidays to prevent serious injury and fatal crashes.  Sheriff Dale Schmidt says the crash reduction effort is ongoing primarily at  areas prone to crashes in the past.  Schmidt says 18 people have lost their lives on Dodge County roadways this year.  That’s up from 12 in 2016, and an average of 10.6 traffic fatalities from 2011 through 2015.

MILWAUKEE (AP) — U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions says he's assigning two additional federal prosecutors to the Milwaukee office to focus on violent crime.  Sessions was at the U.S. Attorney's office in Milwaukee Monday to make the announcement.
