A Fond du Lac teenager accused of sexually assaulting at least six teenage girls faces the possibility of spending the rest of his life in prison if convicted. Seventeen year old Marquez Jackson was recently bound over for trial in Fond du Lac County Circuit Court on 20 charges including sexual assault of a child, strangulation-suffocation, child enticement and exposing genitals to a child. According to a criminal complaint Jackson sexually assaulted and choked six girls ages 15 to 17. The incidents occurred at a transitional living facility, the YMCA and at Fond du Lac High School. According to the complaint Jackson forced one girl to perform oral sex in an elevator at the high school. Jackson is being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on $100,000 cash bond.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
