A Milwaukee man has been charged in connection with a fatal traffic crash in Fond du Lac County last April. Jonathan Vogel made his initial court appearance Thursday on charges of homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle. Bail was set at $20,000 cash. Investigators say Vogel was the driver of a car that rolled over on Highway 26 north of Willow Creek Road and burst into flames. A passenger, 21 year old Whitney Domer of Oshkosh was pronounced dead at the scene. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 11.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
