A portion of Highway 45 near Campbellsport is closed due to a structure fire. At about 2:30pm Monday Firefighters were called to the scene at N2486 Highway 45 for a report of a storage building on fire. Fire crews are working to prevent the fire from spreading to a nearby propane tank. Meanwhile, two employees received minor injuries in an explosion and fire at a Ripon business. Firefighters were called to Signature Wafer on Stanton Street Monday afternoon for a report of a fire in a compact dumpster. Initial reports say two employees received minor injuries by the force of the explosion. The fire was quickly extinguished.

A house fire near New Holstein claimed the life of a child. Shortly after 2am Wednesday firefighters were called to the scene on Honeymoon Hill Road near County Road T. A child in the home was pronounced dead at a hospital. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
